Classic Slow-Cooker Beef Stew

Everyone at the table will be saying “yum” when you put this beef stew in front of them!

My husband grew up in one of those traditional, old fashioned if you will, style homes. His mother stayed home and took care of the kids, and his father worked like 60 hours a week to pay all the bills. They are probably one of the happiest couples that I have ever met too, so it worked for them. My mother-in-law is the best cook in the world, and she never makes anything over the top or super fancy. She sticks with the basics.

Hubby’s favorite meal has always been anything with lots of meat and potatoes in it. That’s what he is used to. I had to get my mother-in-law’s recipe book so that I could be sure to keep him happy at the table. One of my regular meals is this slow cooker beef stew. It’s so easy! I don’t have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen, so this is how we both get what we want.

If you have never done beef stew in your slow cooker, you don’t know what you’re missing. Find out how to do it by jumping over to the recipe on the next page!
