You Only Need 3 Things For This Wonderful Appetizer

I had completely forgotten about a family gathering that we were having for my great Uncle Mark’s birthday one weekend.

There is usually not that much forgetfulness in my personality, but it was during the holidays and we were already running in twelve different directions every single day, or so it seemed. I just slipped my mind somehow. That was until my brother called and asked what time we were heading over to our Aunt Maggie’s house. I was like, for what? He started laughing and then continued to tease me about getting old and forgetting everything. I was mortified. He’s always been good about making me feel that way though. That’s what brothers are for right? Then he asked me what I was taking.

Oh my goodness… I had to take a dish to pass too? It all slowly started coming back to me. It was a miracle that I had the ingredients in my fridge to make these bacon-wrapped smokies from The Frugal Girls.

Even better is the fact that they are done in the slow cooker. I could set it and forget it… or maybe not forget it, but get ready while they were cooking.
